Trinity Church Website Submission Guidelines and Deadlines

Submissions to the Trinity Church website must be typed, double-spaced, and submitted for approval to the appropriate committee chairperson BEFORE it is turned in to the Website Content Editor, currently Maureen Frydlewicz. All items must be approved IN WRITING by the appropriate church official (see below) before being accepted for posting on the website. All items must be submitted to the Content Editor at least 3 weeks before the event.

Approval authority is determined by subject content and is to be submitted as follows:
Buildings/Grounds –
Finance –
Outreach –
Parish Life –
Stewardship –

For a list of email addresses for members of the vestry go the Contact Us page.

Further questions on approval requirements should be directed to:
Website – John Zebrowski

Once written approval is obtained, please submit all items on a floppy disk to the Content Editor or via email to: editor@trinitychurchcranford.com.

The press releases should follow the following guidelines:
• Keep the message concise. Brevity speaks volumes.
• Submit items promoting upcoming events happening at the church. People love to know what’s coming up, not what they’ve missed.
• You may submit news about recent events at the church, for historic reference. (Ex: report on Annual Parish Meeting.)
• You may not submit notices of personal events such as garage sales, family reunions, etc.
• Please keep in mind that this website is viewed by the public. It is not an in-house publication, so keep the tone professional but personable.
• No exclamation points. They look tacky and give off an air of desperation.
• Do not put text in all capital letters.
• Please use standard sentence structure in the active voice for upcoming events, and use the past tense for reported events. Avoid using a lot of adjectives making the item sound like advertising copy. Adjectives take up too much space and take away from the meat of the message.
• Stress substance over style.
• Approved content may still undergo editing but is not intended to change content meaning.
